As its name would suggest, Blu Grande is the largest of the slabs within the Blu product family. Its large size makes it well-suited for pedestal and rooftop applications, or deployment over vast pedestrian areas. This same characteristic also means that it has fewer joints per surface area than most precast concrete slab surfaces, a useful attribute for the designer looking to reduce visual noise to create a sleek, clean, contemporary look. These rarer, spaced-out joints, combined with Blu Grande’s smooth texture, make this large slab a comfortable and safe option for those of us with reduced mobility. Blu Grande Smooth is ADA compliant, an important factor to consider within any commercial or institutional project. Although often installed in a linear pattern, this smooth slab can be combined with other Blu formats to create a modular pattern or fashioned into a more personalized creation using the compatible Valet and Squadra pavers. Blu Grande is de-icing salt resistant, and its HD2 Smooth finish makes it long-lasting and easy to clean for those hotel and resort projects in which leisure and spills go hand in hand.
